Early Fall

I may be sitting on a mountain of gold. Or rather a mailbox stuffed full of check-laden envelopes. The only thing separating me from the ducats is a big pile of retouching, some luck catalysts, a bit more google sleuthing, and my own limited reserves of motivation.

Perhaps a dozen shoots are semi-scheduled in Boston in the coming two months. A great thing indeed. I’ll take it! Yes I will. And they will result in spectacular new portfolio pieces and plenty-adequate compensation.

But they’re no longer in my front yard (the apartment being front-facing). Heck, I’ve literally been looking over my screen at (and waking up to the jackhammers of) a new 20 story luxury hotel being constructed across the street. Along with countless other nearby projects ripe to be courted. My list is growing, as is my mountain of unprocessed extraction from the world. May there soon be a pile of diamonds and an olympus of digital tailings.

New work, New York, one walk at a time.

(Today’s image being an appreciation of neighborhood on the walk back home after some speculative shooting beyond the bridges.)
