The least documented part of the trip, yet one of the most enjoyable and time consuming. Driving. Spinning through the countryside, shooting through mountainous curves, reversing in tight underground car parks.
The one uniform project of the trip could only develop in my head. Tunnels. Dozens and dozens of them every day. Very similar in construction, but of different length, lighting, paint, etc. I’d have loved to shoot long exposures through them. 100 European blurs, overhead bulbs blurred into lazerous lines and road markings stretched into infinity.
But alas, I had neither the hands nor the rigging to throw the’ol camera on the hood and remotely control it. On the second to last day I realized nothing of the road had been taken so I popped a few with the mountainly skyline and bridges overhead.
Enough to remember.
