Drop ceilings are growing on me. Mixing up what’s overhead with different planes and colors and whatnot can really help demarcate space. Beneath the wood be the service. Elsewhere thou may sitteth, laptopeth, revel.

This is one of the standard views on my shot list for each coffee shop. What’s seen from just inside the front door. Where’s the first point of focus? Is it inherently understandable how to proceed? This place does it well methinks.

Jamaica Plain’s Ula.
