Trees. General greenery, or lifery. Plants weren’t a part of my interior spatial experience until I began rooming with folks who tend them. Beautiful little pots of round clay with various green shapes popping out their tops.
And now I’m keenly aware of the presence of such things. Particularly in these coffee environments I’ve been frequenting. One particular group of them made what has to be a deliberate choice to have a large potted tree right inside the entrance. It serves them well.
The outside is a different matter altogether. Trees like these at Peace Coffee in Minneapolis don’t just sprout overnight. Though they’re but a brown firework of veins for the winter, I’ll extend a guess that they positively balloon in the warmer months.
So, plants.
