Dark Dawn
That was today? Up at four and to the airport and back to grounded civilization. To a liquified cup of ground up and soaked fruit of the Earth. To the current and ever-changing kingdom of self work, the coffeehouse.
What do I have to report? That red neon completely transforms a space in the pre-dawn hour(s). Even though it was outward-facing (“Espresso!”, “Open”), its glow found itself inside.
The best is here unseen. The best is the reflection in the top of a coffee. Neon, other lights, heck, anything. It takes a dark pool and throws glints across it, fleeting glimpses of beauty.
Another tomorrow, and after, and after.
