Field work. Sort of. Experimentation in person as opposed to in-home. Direct observation, self immersion versus laying in the dark and bouncing the possibilities around my cranial cavity.

There’s the persistent question of what to pair my photography with. I could create content that benefits from photos. I could build websites for clients of which the photos play a role. And so on. But something beyond the technical and intellectual pursuit of aesthetic pleasure.

I’m playing with coffee shops. What they are. What the owners/operators have done with a space and a general product offering to create a place that is loved, frequented. Learning to observe the components so I can frame the right picture.

Current idea.
