I’ve been reading about architecture as of late. I believe it’s “How Architecture Works: A Humanist’s Toolkit.” A dang-good ten bucks if I do say so myself… and now I’m convinced that e-books can play at least a minor role in my life. Quality content, lurking in the darkness of my phone’s infinite memory.

But the book. Very approachable. Very intro-ish. But sophisticated and caring. A professorial wordsmither guiding newcomers to the basics. Getting familiar with the lingo, learning about what I’d never thought about. Appreciating buildings, sites, contexts, details, etc in a whole new way.

Hoping my photography will improve with the added knowledge, but also just hoping I retain some of it and carry it with me.

Good stuff.
