Through the Wire
Apple sauce saves the day. Unsweetened spoonfuls of sweet soft sustenance. Into the body machine with the out-of-order mouth. If today’s the worst of it, hey, I’ll take it. Take the next couple hours of it. Hoping I’ll be able to descend the cushioned staircase into dreamland without a hitch… despite spending about 80% of the day horizontal in the pursuit of rest.
