The forced work. The aw heck I’m just going to make it easy and get on a train and shoot til it’s dark. No bag, no baggage, nary an extra battery. A tripod and a camera and a handheld email on the outgoing train.

Muy refreshing. Even if nothing were to come of it, though something of course will, it’ll’ve (it will have?) been a most satisfying Monday night. Leveling the axes, fiddling with focus, cranking the black gears. Seeing that little rectangle of light.

It was a sea of storefronts in the H-square, and then this. The alley anti-storefront. The literal storeback. Where boxes of bulk disembark from white trucks. Where it all comes from.

Summer weekday.
