Polo weekends are fundamentally periods of relative but irrelevant discomfort. Sure you have to sleep on couch cushions with a scraggly blanket, but you know what’s on your docket all day? Yeah, watching polo and eating great food and playing polo (if your body is intact).
Long drives over white dotted lines in the valleys of rolling hills. Witnessing obliterated Earthen cliffs where mountains once stood. Automobile culture as mover of both the world and its inhabitants.
Big projects finished, other tasks dangling about. Work upon solid work, and even some independent after-work work. Ideas flitting about while eyeing the comfort of the nearby bed and its promise of a quiet night in blackness comfort.
Eyes weary, ready.
