Bubble Pour
It’s about play. Yesterday’s was about rigor and emphasized excellence, but in the in-between there must exist play. And I can dutifully report that unsweetened soy “milk” with dark rum is hardly worth mentioning as a “drink.”
But it does serve as a subject. Something normally unseen that can pique the brain behind the eyes. Bubbles. Cream held in clear on a slab of slight blue. iPhone light employed as off camera illumination. All with the tools at hand.
The first thought is “lunar.” And it feels very weighty, much heavier than an inch of processed plant and fermented cane in a thin gravital cage of glass. It looks like something I’d want to reach for and enjoy.
Wasn’t bad.
