Anywhere Everywhere
The beginning of the commute. After descending four floors, I walk about as much up to the hilltop. From there it’s another many flights up to the crest or a weave over cobblestones and the unleashed dog that inhabits the space in front of the plumber’s headquarters with nary a bark. Ever.
Six apartments in five neighborhoods on both sides of the river since 2007. Soon to be seven in six. And very possibly eight in seven. As yet unexperienced: garden-level, schmancy high-rise, “micro-apartment,” private entrance, roofdeck, and god forbid doorman. Still a couple years out from mortgage payments and investment properties (and the wheelbarrow of a down payment).
Renting yearly explorations.
