Expired jeans do make excellent decor, though I’ve since switched to two 44″ golden circles. Zipdiscs, lightweight reflectors for light control, but also excellent decor. Stucco’d white with golden hung geometry.
Self portraiture used to represent a larger portion of my practice, driven largely by a desire to learn how to use strobes with the human form. But there’s a definite appeal to the process without the technical experimentation edge.
A study of self representation. A reason to clean the house to meet my standards for the idealized historic record. The trickiest part of course is the emotional edge of the self. Posture and general ideas of mood help, but getting to superb with the overall body-languaged-message is … well, part of the reason I keep playing with it.
