A common sight, the leaf’d tree alongside its barren brothers. Or at least co-phylum biologic buddies. Many are simply ablaze in white flowers, but they’re increasingly turning to embers of green.

Brutally productive days recently, at least from a photo shoot/edit standpoint. High memory card turnover. Best-in-class throughput. Accelerated processing of rectangles. Quality-control inspectors noting above-average quality of goods received.

I chock it up to sunshine and brilliant lunches in good company. Breaks from the company desk in favor of the partnership’s granite slab. Star-warmed stone as seat. Skyscraper’s pavilion as cafeteria.

Without sunglasses.
