More small storefront studies. Perhaps fifteen feet of frontage. Trying to capture both the facade and get the angle right to show some of what’s inside, working around the window displays.
In any given light there’s excellence to be found. Dug up. Worked for without disturbing passersby. Not so much out of precaution for their right to pedestrian comfort, but because the moment that’s infringed upon they get ugly (or worse sometimes, simply unsavorily inquisitive) and whatever flow I was working in gets completely dammed up.
It’s a strange dance. Waiting for walkers to pass by vs. trying to get just the right number (and demographic) included in the shot. Attunement to the spurts and gaps in ambulatory traffic. All whilst the light is changing, often minute-to-minute.
Practice, play.
