Oy. The diamonds were in the rough. A half-dozen prime sponsor shots for NARRAGANSETT BEER, who quite frankly as a result of such sponsorship may have left my late-afternoon memory of the events a bit shaky. Who was it that coordinated with them again? (seriously, hit me up, I’ve got the goods)

Whilst much of action polo sporty photo-ing is centered on getting that perfect struggle, outstretched mallets at decidedly unsafe speeds, it always seems that the strange stands out. Besides, as far as I can tell, the best-ever struggle shot was already captured in 2007 in Chicago. Might’ve been Ben’s doing, between Doug (team Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) and another chap (Robbie of Ottawa?).

But this here. New York and DC (?). Alone together, separated from their herd. Forcefully embracing in pursuit of the sphere. Limbs on steed and mallet, jockeying for control of the orb.

Oy.
