The stainless straw & stirrer. The hand-cut ice chunk. An elixer of rum and other, orange peels to the side. The glass candle-lit table in a moody lounge, conducive to a bit of impromptu drink photography.
Nothing extraordinary. Nada exposition-worthy. Just a quick capture. For me, really. To remember the fleeting drink, and also to be paired with a couple of other shots of my fellow imbibers, so as to remember that the night happened. That feeling upon review many years later of, “oh yeah, I went out with some artists after a lecture and we must’ve talked about some interesting stuff.”
Project ideas reinforced. Shared app development ideas improved upon. Importance of work ethic emphasized (very refreshingly from the mouth of a true educator). Superstar bartender smalltalk. A Tank brew. The final unexpected pleasure of the tab evaporating, no wallets drawn.
Thanks Stephen! (& Jason!)
