The beige splotches on the wall never bother me until I notice them. The next thought being, heck, if I owned this place I’d have taken it upon my able-bodied self to re-wall it. Or I could simply decor-it, figure out a way to even art-it.

I like things well done, but not perfect. Perfect always seems to imply obsession, compulsion, raving fanaticism for right angles… all things that are decidedly detrimental to good’ol niceness or plain warmth. And this apparently came from wanting a momentous mural-sized visual, but the expertly (not perfectly) printed kind that rests behind plexi and costs just short of a retirement-enabling annuity.

Whatever the case, this is how it is, for now. Not seen are colored stacks of books and black cylinders and cords of camera gear. That’s elsewhere. Bedside and shelved. Is seen is that wonderful hide, and I swear there ain’t a better feelin’ your bare feet can get than a sheet of holstein.

To Thursday.
