Same building as yesterday, just an hour or so earlier. And I’ll be the first to admit that something seems off in this image. It rings more rendering than photograph. Mostly just that building at center, across the street. Something’s… off about it.
Such are the confounding moments of exploring new photographic territory. Pushing techniques, taking what’s known and stretching it a bit. In time I’ll figure it out, but for now I’ll just have to study it a bit, live with it, re-do it so I can determine its actual origins.
All this architectural work and hype as the bottle-breaking setup continues to occupy my studio (apartment). An entire section of my space is given to a hulking metal frame, dozens of square feet of plastic sheeting, waterproofing, externalities to the image creation process. One of these days I’ll find the time…
