Not so much night as winter’s early-onset night. The 5:30 pm night simulation. The night that swoops in before dinner’s last fork has even been ever so gracefully placed on the hundreds of tables along this Newburyous street. The one-mile eight-block stretch that I’ll now find myself upon with great frequency.
Dresses in windows, dresses in garden mannequin displays, dresses dancing ’round the knees of women in motion, clicking on the concrete with heels of all length. The blue dress seen here so mightily overpowering the olive ensemble on its left. Very possibly not an accident.
The photo project shelved for another night in the face of dishes, laundry, paperwork, client imaging obligations, etc. Not so much shelved as … allowed to ever so slightly increase its mass by way of dust accumulation. For it is a “studio” project, constructed primarily of a shelving unit. Skeletal black metal that I’m slowly adding the organs and skin to, working out the Frankensteinian kinks that always arise.
To Wednesday.
