Anybody want to start a perfume company that develops one new fragrance each year? (MMXIII…MMXIV…) Perhaps the eau de author? Co-marketing perfumes with a romance novel? A scent to accompany each tome. This… this sounds like a trillion dollar idea.
Not only is it a reversal of the timidity of buying 50 Shades of Grey discretely on an e-reader, it’s a flagrant flauntation of fragrance that alerts passersby in the park what’s on your mind. I imagine designer chocolate could be brought into the mix too… get to that scene, pop a choc.
Maybe I’ll start a near-future-oriented optical outfit called MMXXVISION. Stone frames. Carved Italian marble with just enough heft to give you that substantial, sophisticated look. Maybe some poorly vetted ad-copy about having stone on your temple.
But first, the novelers.
