No-Row Snow

Flurries falling whilst a great storm of scheduling swirls and billows. Dinner parties and after parties and attempts to sneak a third visit between the two with a similarly socially-saturated amigo.

All that bookended by the delightful cruises around the curvaceous shores of ‘ol Lake of the Isles. Joggers afoot at all hours, ponytails bobbing beneath the overcast orange of midnight. Homes fair to opulent in various stages of interior illumination. 89.3 The Current filling the cabin with just the right soundtrack.

Hours now countable on two hands, enough to peruse a sanctuary of art and dine with a view. To meander through the white streets kept pristine by ever-accumulating flakes. To launch towards the horizon in pursuit of the wingéd beasts that will sky me away.

Back East.

  1. Beautiful shot. I love the many levels of white and gray — and also the way you’ve cropped out the tip of the boat.
