At a loss of perplexing things to occupy the mind with? Magnitudinal explorations never fail to amaze me. From the organelle to undiscovered sea creatures, millions of meters long (space squids?), there’s… well, a spectrum. And this was somehow triggered by seeing these tiny little people enthralled in blood sport beneath the profound, yet so geometrically simple, structure of tubular aluminum.
Of time spans. The day’s cycle versus the frantic progression of minutes, always within view to desk workers worldwide. Years so easy to grasp in just two digits, but so fascinatingly rich in experience amidst a world that spins itself silly.
The cycle of corporations, collective efforts of contracted persons that contribute their share, climb ladders, drown coffee, stagnate, trudge forward, separate, continue. Of the innumerable sanctuaries of work that, when stepping back, seem to exist in painfully slow motion compared to the actual experience of second-to-second life.
Corporate winter.
