Years in Boston: 5. Years playing bike polo: 5. Years really photographing: 4? Combined office-job years: 2. And so forth. Just about to turn 24, so the whole time thing is ticking on the mind.
But polo. Our snowless kingdom here. A street hockey palace turned polorama a couple weekends a year in the dark months. Amenities include: bright light, slippery court, beefy goals, plumbed bathrooms, snack bar, etc. All thanks to the Market, overseen by Dr. Capitalism.
The socialist state of Massachusetts does provide a well-painted outdoor arena to us free of charge, and admittedly it’s near paradise anytime it’s not covered in ice. Better than universal health care? Never thought of it as having universal access to a polo court. You may have to wait in line when it’s busy and deal with less than sanitary conditions, but heck. I haven’t used a hospital every weekend for five years straight.
Polo courts for all!
That’s a fantastic capture.
