There’s a certain simplicity to this. Or rather creating images like this has become rather easy for me. Of course good-simple is often very difficult, but in this case it’s more elemental. It’s like Bike here, Net kind of over there, less important but necessary, and some filler context in the background.
It’s the kind of first thing I see. It’s a bit distant, isn’t really engaging the scene very intimately, and isn’t exploiting any subtleties or timing that can really make an image. Rather it’s a pleasant, standard composition of what was right in front of me.
I guess this is all just a long-winded reflection on having become “good” at photography. A natural outcome of time, effort, and interest. Hopefully my writing is evolving forward in a similar manner – I know I didn’t write like this three years ago!
