Unknowable Thoughts

This guy’s like, ten feet tall. Or six. Probably more like five-nine. But by the looks of it he’s got strong lungs since his head spends so much time at such high altitudes, dodging clouds. Here my head’s barely above my elbows, which did their time pressed into the cushion, thick from a decade of blood and sweat absorption.

Before the bouts some tiny little people (children?) run around and play in the ring. They fall, they crawl, they roll, and then right themselves. 100% oblivious to the entire world of micro life that’s undoubtedly flourishing below them. An entire ecosystem of microbes that may well have evolved into creatures found nowhere else on earth.

Perhaps some Harvard PhD scientists will launch a midnight heist to steal the gladiatorial stage. Within it there is perhaps the cure for every human ail. But first they’ll have to starch their lab coats, steel their wills, and prepare for the possibility of seriously miffing Boston’s population of amateur boxers.

Andtosleep.
