Very rare does this happen. Or this’s. Two occurrences that by nature happen on an infrequent and unknowable schedule.
First, and appropriately so, this was the very first image of the day. I know not when last the first was the day’s sweetest. Though the first in a series that I shoot is the best at least half the time, confirming the importance of getting that seeing feeling and going with the dark, visionless gut (I shot about four variations of this, but none were as potent).
Second, that chair! I’ve come to love Chestnut street on the far side of my ‘hood – if you’re curious why, come walk it some time with me – and the other night there just happened to be this chair. Awaiting a taker. Literally, a “take-me” note sat on its yellow cushion. It’s not the grande reading chair I had envisioned, but for the steep price of carrying it up and down one hill, I’ll take it!
New book selection… begins now.
