Foot on Hide

There was a time not long ago, in a place very close to home (i.e. home itself), when furnishings were at a rapid pace being sized up, felt out, and acquired. The identity of the space itself maturing, nearing wholeness. But that period has come to an end, and too soon.

By which I mean I’d really love an excellent chair that I could read in, a window-side slice of cushioned heaven to let my body disappear into as the mind dissolves into held literature. And a rectangle to work on, an expansive and sturdy 30″ high slab of something to pull up to when work needs a ‘doin.

All that aside, I cannot recommend enough the incorporation of animal hide into one’s living space. Any sock manufacturer with a shred of awareness of pleasurable human experiences will fear for his/her livelihood when the truth gets out about the sheer ecstasy of the bare-foot feeling seen above. Just might be time to diversify the product line for future’s sake.

Back to bed.
