Landmarks, photographic treasure they are to the tourist and local alike. Well done sites also attract the more sophisticated shooter, looking to make something of what’s seen rather than simply document its existence and one’s proximity to the object at a point in time (i.e. vacation).
I shot this whilst exploring this bridge, the suspended one, before I had even been commissioned for the project that had been discussed with a potential client. Why they didn’t simply push the decent budget towards the billions of stock images of this very structure I do not know.
But I didn’t get the job, and so this day’s after-work images ultimately did not lead to a wad of cash in my pocket. But the spec-shooting did get me to explore some streets I’d never been on, to venture around something I’d always experienced sans-camera.
Not bad.
