Concrete Skies

A light summer night breeze through the windows with soft sound waves of Ibizan dance clubs lapping at the shores of my tired mind. Rubbing eyes, remembering that gnat that still might be lodged somewhere inside of my right lid. No doubt it’s crawled its way “north” and is feasting on my frontal cortex as I sit here and breathe, unaware.

More assignments finding their way towards me, more time out of my time-starved days coming under the knife (shutter?). Creative challenges, business autonomy, reasonably sized duffel bags bursting at the seams with cash money.

Or something. Not sure. Moths in the pantry, caterpillars in my farmers’ market greens, myriad petty frustrations (to borrow a phrase from my favorite).

Wednesday Over.
