Imagining tomorrow’s carnage already. A veritable afternoon of wound creation. Of mortals clashing in pursuit of sweet, definitive victories over petty competitors in the white-walled arena of paradise.
I’ve shot the last couple times we’ve congregated but really haven’t seen anything. I tend to walk around the inside wall of the court, dodge the beasts, shoot a bit, see some splendorous coincidences of timing and emotion. But lately it’s felt more just like walking around.
Perhaps tomorrow’s games will serve me better. There’s always that finite chance that I’ll record the most epic photograph ever in polo’s short history. An irrefutable example of pure photographic genius for the ages. Or hopefully I’ll just have some brews, kick back in the sun, and release.
He was all good.
Johan!
