And so it begins, the documentation of downtown. I’ve been casually shooting on the way from the subway station to the office tower, but I’ve resolved to make real time for shooting this strange geometric forest.
And what a different place it becomes once the intent is to photograph. Once that mindset kicks in. All kinds of yeah-so-what-pretty buildings all of a sudden become radiant. Mystical and monolithic, ornate and opulent. Such incredible stone work from a different age.
We’ll see what comes of it. I suspect if I shoot it for a couple months it’ll evolve into something entirely different. Hopefully more refined and focused. Something. We’ll see.
