Where there is work, there is a commute. These folk may well be traveling, but perhaps they’re commuting. Perhaps this is routine. Perhaps five days a week they don wind breakers, hop in the back of a truck, and endure.

Currently in the near burbs (probably definitively burb-land, I just can’t admit it) of Boston, I’m trying to move inland to an abode within walking distance of work. It’s a tricky proposition given budgetary constraints (and sanity), dodging university student overflow and city-dwellers alike.

There may well be more grass shown here than there is in all of Boston proper. There’s an occasional hedge, perhaps a tuft of a weed (unlikely), but it’s only when you get into Gustav Country (Somerville) that lawns begin to emerge. I’m trying to escape the lawn.

Good luck to me. (and heck, you too!)
