The driver is at work, but what is the passenger? Though literally in a transitionary phase, to where is he going, and from where has he come? He here is stuck in the middle of the voyage, in a sitting stasis of apparent thought.
I’m finally making some headway on this entire taxi project (these old American cars serve as communal taxis in Havana). Printing some two-hundred or so 4×6’s for review. To live with for a while. To winnow down to perhaps ten or so. And then the real distribution begins.
There’s a third person here, in the back back seat. Ghostly, transparent, ambiguous. An apparition of a rider. Just along for the view, perhaps.
To a transitory period now of rest.
