A day descended into darkness again. Though I am decidedly thankful for the longer and longer delay before the sun falls off the seen earth these days. My view goes from a pleasant, though not picturesque, residential street scene to black window panes, cut into various geometric shapes by poorly painted wooden frames.
But this is an image in the light. Perhaps late morning, early afternoon. The dear friend and I adhered strictly to a casual schedule throughout his visit.
That deer may well be my favorite furnishing that I’ve got. Admittedly it’s not difficult to surpass the meager feelings I have towards most of my inherited cheap IKEA furniture, though I do have a one particularly nice large photo thumbtacked up. But the deer takes the prize.
And continues to oversee our everyday.
