A dear friend has accompanied me all weekend and much mutual catching up has consumed our days. Pictured here on one of our many walks around town. That’s pretty much all we’ve done, walk and walk and meander around. Good stuff.
I generally don’t shoot while walking with others. I generally don’t shoot at all with anyone, unless they’re a subject of my shooting. It just doesn’t jive with my workflow. I walk in contemplation, stop, see things, evaluate a bit, and then after five minutes of shooting between homes (see previous three posts) I’ll continue on to another block.
Conversing and chatting along almost entirely consumes the mental capacities that when alone are reserved for contemplative observation. And having someone wait while shooting something unseen to them just nags me into moving along. So I shoot alone. Unless I see something like this and can’t help but shoot.
Yes, Gaurk, it’s been excellent.
