Two things have led to increased levels of in-room self portraiture. First, winter’s waving goodbye so the interior temperature outside of the blankets has been livable. And second, it is massively clean. Not the right adjective of course, but that’s how spiff it really is.

Industrial open shelving plays host to my gear, so whenever the light’s right it’s hard not to grab some of it and start conceptualizing while unfolding stands and picking a soundtrack. Wide white wall, warm floorboards, and assorted props. Easy as pie (to eat, not to  make and bake).

Within the hour usually something good has come of it. A couple setup changes, a bit of refinement, the occasional total-revamp of lighting/wardrobe, whatever just seems right.

With a cross of gaffer’s tape on the floor.
