Well I’ll be darned if this isn’ the most surprisingly striking image I’ve come upon in a while. I expected a person sweeping, and what I’ve got is this will-power defying composition that takes one’s eyes and rams them into the right side of the frame and keeps’em there.
Maybe. Or something like that. There’s this little broom that we have coming against the bottom frame, and behind it this huge void of pale lines, this plane of cleaned shining surface. Not even he, at center stage, will walk upon it.
I’m working through this bundle of images from a recent dance performance, a smattering of behind-the-scenes and front-of-performance images. And little presents like this keep popping up.
To The Sweeper.
I can’t decide if I’m more impressed by your photographs or your written word. Beautiful imagery.
douh. i gave our wrong website.
Thanks Ted! The photos are certainly more immediately digestible – I never know if people actually read through it all. Your name links to your site – sorry to see those St. Cago heads destroyed! Maybe Lucky should drill pilot holes…
