Rectangles in Space

Mad errands, photo gear acquisitions, applicatory retail schmoozing, and an hour in an MIT classroom under the heading FISSION 101. Base load power, baby. Base. Load. Power. Now if only they can figure out a way to sustain plasmotic Deuterium at 170,000,000 degrees Celsius… (Science!)

But the morning was pleasant and calm, fit for strutting around in a new-old suit jacket (thanks Dad!) and a cup of delicious. And some light that just wouldn’t quit. Refrigerator as tripod.

Class starts tomorrow. Both business and photo. For the photo assignment I shot a portrait of the physician (/physicist) holding up a bagel. He referenced Homer Simpson’s line, “Donuts. Is there anything they can’t do?” when explaining the taurus shape of the reactors. When it got complicated he noted that he expected much of the class to enter Glaze Level One. (glazed eyes, not donuts, mind you)

Final Semester. Begin.
