Closing up the hometown holiday break with a final portrait session. No more professional than the others, but this time of a professional, to use the term generally. ‘Ol father is an attorney inhabiting a space somewhere in the towers downtown, and I’ve wanted to get a good shot of him in his perpetual workplace.
Reflections were the name of the game, something I haven’t barely touched lately but am really all about (click to see reflection-heavy MADRID page on my Portfolio site). Great big windows = great big reflections to play with.
For the technique curious, you’ll notice I placed a flash behind one of his monitors which lit up an unseen wall and cast a soft light onto him. Without that he would have melted into the background. Works for me.
Boston tomorrow, final semester commences Tuesday.
