New Years is upon us, and it’s raining in Minneapolis. To a new year of strange weather, further photographic practice (and work), my final semester of that which is University, etc.etc.etc.

Longtime family friends here, they built a most impressive barn on their lot since the last time I visited. A veritable slice of Wisconsin paradise. Something of an ongoing project – a three-story structure plus rooftop observatory – that this can-do family has been playing with over the years.

Please excuse the most unimpressive grammar in that last paragraph. Point your eyes to the image. And an excellent New Year to all!

And the rain’s turned to snow for 2012.
