Assisted a fellow photographician today in his boxing portraiture endeavors. I shoot on the fight nights, but lend a hand to the documentation of brutal Saturday workouts. And hey, quick shout out, Jim Fitts, the alluded to photographer, curated a great show of behind-the-scenes war photography over at Panopticon Gallery in a show called GRUNTS. Good stuff to be sure.
This here is me in the conference room, seated in the chair that I had my subjects settle in to on my recent shoot of the associate deans of the arts college. Couldn’t help but create a visage of myself in their shoes, lit like them, posed similarly.
A document of both the lighting used and something of a moment in history – the first time dear ‘ol gus shot some somewhat high profile head shots of the suit-and-tie folks.
To another Sunday.
