Tasked with creating a self-defining image of what my existence is at this point in time, this is what I came up with. Schmancy bike, macbook, camera, Mario Testino on the wall, Tsingtao Chinese beer in hand, cheap furniture, my favorite sweater/pants/shoes, and the swooped hair. The life of Gus the intern consultant, the creative mind, the aspiring entrepreneur so to speak.
Also featured are the lackluster Photoshop skills (that striped sweater I’m wearing would appear as it really looks if I knew better how to downsize images), the current color aesthetics (greenish with magenta tints), the super-wide angle lens capturing the slender (bony, skinny, bidimensional?) form, etc.
Perhaps finally the fact that I’ve been shooting plenty of self portraits lately – this being a prime example, though with an environmental bent – is a further representation of gus the explorer of photographic lighting, composition, I daresay even meaning, etc.
Lots of etc’s today, and the consultory duties continue tomorrow.
Yo, good lkooin out! Gonna make it work now.
