In the Rug Gallery

Another look back at the dress rehearsal, this time with a blonde pirouette and two weightless associates. From a shape standpoint, the figures are a chaotic mash of diagonals and curves (aka they’re humans), but most everything else is rigid in its geometry. Rectangles of rugs, evenly spaced track lights, the shadow from a slat back chair.

Of course she’s the star of the image, this beacon of lightness in a multi-layered shadowed frame. Hair all aloof, pointed toes lightly poised on the shining hardwood.

To Tuesday, now putting this incredibly productive day finally to bed.
