Stripes and White Polka

Another glimpse of arboretum life. Of blankets on thick grass in the afternoon of a sunny weekend. Of a ground welcoming the tired to sprawl on its surface, as low as one can be without digging in.

This image is bathed in a certain serenity, an ultimate state of pleasant relaxation in open air. No sky is shown, but we can see the coins of sunlight dotting the persons, shining through the leaved limbs above. But not enough to disturb the peace.

The last of the summer warmth here, slowly descending now a couple days later into the chill of fall, a foreshadowing of the inevitable freeze that will show our breath in the coming months.

Not bad at all.
