Stained & Dyed

Another capture from within the co-op’s walls, this time from what could be called a dining room, though most of the dining happened whilst living in the room of life (living room? Room of verdant existence? El cuarto de la vida dulce?). Just a bunch of places to sit. The sitting room here, a room of seats, a room with a broom.

It immediately appeals to me. There’s a strong three dimensionality to it, what with those great spindles of the lighter chair reaching out. The perspective’s a bit wacky too – the seat of the chair at left seems to be on a different plane than that of the seat directly below.

Solid color, a nice energetic composition of many geometries, some good shadow work on the floor.

Gotta sit somewhere.
