Los Angeles has some peculiar daily weather patterns. Every morning it looks like this ’round this part of town. Thick cloud cover abounds until late morning and with it soft temperate air that later burns off into crisp, desert heat. For the first couple mornings I swore there’d be a rainstorm that day.
Los Angelean roads are a whole ‘nother world compared to Boston. Or rather the loosely grid-like arrangement of them is different. Perhaps moreso I’m thinking of the architecture of the houses that line these asphalt thruways. Incredibly Mexicanly influenced, in this neighborhood at least. Pueblos and adobe abodes, mostly fenced, a large percentage with hounds that howl at night when you walk by.
Off to devour some communal lasagna, hitch a ride to el aeropuerto, and fly into Boston just in time to grab a mound of coffee from Dunkin’ and start work.
Farewell dear city.
