Thursday Thursday Thursday. I think I’ve commenced at least two conversations today with that line. Varied intonations, an increasing speed as the syllables progress (linearly, not exponentially of course). And I’m in a good mood, for reasons including the capture of $232 of garments for a whopping $35.
Wednesday was the polo. And tomorrow (Friday), and a double tomorrow from there (Sunday). We players need plenty of stickers on and around the court to remind us what exactly we’re doing out there. As if a bunch of kids with bikes and mallets would finish a game, sip a brew, and then be utterly and completely confounded about what the hell is going on.
Whatever the case, this pretty well sums up summer polo. Beer hanging out at half court, spectators (and now new players) casting shadows in the dugout, a setting weekday sun casting its rays on the last minutes of summer evening.
Polo. Brought to you by http://www.urbanvelo.org.
Also – if you’ve been struck today by an insatiable, smoldering desire to help out a Uganda-bound recent-grad buddy of mine (in exchange for some most excellent photographic material of hers), hop over to the below link to get what’s up!
