Got in front of the camera today after work to show off a couple of hats from a local shop. After a year of frequent self portraiture I’m much more relaxed and confident looking into the black beast of a handheld machine that you stare into but see nothing back, ‘cept the blink of the aperture. Jesse was the shooter, check out some of his excellent work here: http://jesseweiner.tumblr.com/

Finally got around to playing with these. Bought’em at least two weeks ago with the intention to shoot’em and maybe wear’em eventually, but they’ve been on my daily endeavors since I swiped the card.

What I’m trying to say is they’ve picked up their share of minute nicks and scratches way thinner than a hair that still catch light and disrupt the purity of surface. And holy dust galore, even after wiping them down like crazy. Big dust gets noticed on the day to day, and smudges. But the sheer abundance of tiny specks that adorned these things… thankfully Photoshop is incredibly adept at clearing them up. Didn’t even notice most of them ’til the images showed on my laptop.

‘Ol Mr. Lauren makes a fine pair indeed.
