New shipment today. A mini beauty dish (pictured), snoot, umbrella, etc… More to toy with, hopefully resulting in some sweet new work, technical capabilities and all.

Clearly not a polished shot here, but the composition and general look really sings. A/the Corona is literally that ring of light that’s visible during an eclipse, and so I wanted to see what it’d look like to get a corona around the bottle cap. The scale is certainly not on solar system levels, but heck.

I’ve been thinking more conceptually lately, trying to imagine photos at times when I’m not with my gear. Experimentation and general working definitely leads to interesting stuff, but it’s rarely work that is conceptually deep. I guess it’s very aesthetically driven. Whatever the case, there’s a couple ideas bouncing around in my head, one involving a pedestal of liquid holding up an object among other things.

Coffee in the bathtub, that’s all I’m sayin’.
